Pacers Alexandria opened in 1991 and is “ye olde”-st store in the Pacers family. Nestled among historic buildings and rowhouses in sleepy Old Town Alexandria, the Pacers store embodies the “old running store” feel with decades worth of running memoriabilia and memories.
Pacers Alexandria is managed by Joe Schultz, an architect by trade who started with Pacers Alexandria as a volunteer fun run leader over five years ago.
This store bustles with activity from open to close and serves as a meeting point for inumerable runners in the City of Alexandria.
The Pacers Alexandria Fun Run group is one of our largest with the broadest range of paces. Also, on Saturday mornings you can find the ladies of the Beginner & Re-Beginner group heading out for a long slow run along the Potomac.
Located just blocks from the King Street METRO and 13 blocks from the shore of the Potomac River, we hope you’ll stop by and enjoy the legendary service of this Alexandria institution. |
