Phil Alcorn

Phil Alcorn is relatively new to the sport of running, competing in organized events for only three years. However, he has quickly become an active participant in local and national events and thoroughly enjoys 15K and Half Marathon distances. As an active member of the US Navy, he has had the opportunity to run in multiple races around the country and one very special "Combat Zone Half Marathon" in Bagram Afghanistan.

Phil loves endurance events and his proudest moment was finishing the Bud Light Challenge during the Gasparilla Distance Classic in 2009. He completed a 15k and 5k on Saturday followed by a Half Marathon on Sunday. When he is not running, Phil is an Active Duty Officer in the United States Navy currently stationed at the Pentagon. He lives in Arlington with his beautiful wife, Shelley. They have no children, but are looking to change that very soon.
