Rebecca Turchin

Rebecca Turchin started running recreationally in the hills of West Virginia as a teenager, participating in local 5ks. She moved to the area five years ago and discovered DC’s robust running community, logging her first 10k. Since then, Rebecca has enjoyed running half marathons and hopes to work up to a full marathon in 2010. It was quite a transition from the 70 person races in WV to the 21,000+ finishers in the Army Ten Miler but she’s enjoyed all of the runs along the way!

Rebecca spends a lot of weekends running area road races with a group of friends from the Clarendon Pacer’s fun runs. They’ve been known to run in costumes and instituted a mandatory post-race brunch tradition. She is also a strong proponent of race recovery on the beach so she loves to travel to warmer climates for winter half marathons.

Rebecca works in the Intelligence Community and lives in Alexandria. VA.
