Race Series Point System

Earn points towards great gear and prizes when you run races in the Pacers Events 2010 Race Series!

How the program works:

  • Register for any Pacers Event Race Series event
  • Run your speed
  • Earn points towards great event prizes and gear!
  • See prize structure

There are several ways to earn your points. You are automatically entered into the program upon registration.





Each Race is Not Created Equally

Assignment of points varies with each event. Points are earned through participation. Runner participation is determined by a chip finish time. You must wear your chip and be recorded at the finish to receive points.

Run the following events, and receive a special designed Pacers Spring 26.2 medal (see right)*:





Orange Line Special

Run our events in along the Orange Line corridor (Clarendon, Courthouse, Rosslyn) and recieve our Orange Line Special medal (see right)*. Race in the series are:

Run Arlington Medal

Run our events in the eclectic neighborhoods of Arlington (Clarendon, Courthouse, Rosslyn, Pentagon Row, and Crystal City) and receive a medal for running Arlington!** Races in the series are:

Throughout the year, we’ll assign point values to other races not listed above in the official 2010 Race Series. Be sure to read the newsletter and check our website often for these bonus point opportunities.

2010 Race Series Celebration Reception

At the end of the series, Pacers will host a 2010 Race Series Celebration Reception. Individuals earning eight or more points in the series will be invited to attend the reception. This reception will celebrate the success of all participants in the 2010 Race Series and will also honor our 2010 Volunteer of the Year and Race Ambassador of the Year.
