Unusual Gear: Lunch Box and Books?

Unusual Gear: Lunch Box and Books?

This week in gear we are going to look at some unique offerings from Pacers Running.

Beginning tomorrow at Pacers Navy Yard, join us every Wednesday in May for #RUNch. Share your stories about what you have seen on the run and earn a Saucony lunch box. Tomorrow Whole Foods will provide lunch to eat there or take with you back to your office. Check out Saucony’s Seeker Stories for inspiration or just join us on Wednesdays and get inspired to find your own story.

Summer is perfect for two things, maybe more, but defiantly running and reading. How about reading about running? This summer we are kicking off a Summer Runner Book Club also at the Pacers Navy Yard store. As your training ramps up, gather your running buddies for a sedentary evening hearing authors share the stories they have written about all of our favorite topic: running. The series begins in June and wraps up in August; here is a sneak peak of what is on tap.

June: My Year of Running Dangerously: A Dad, a Daughter, and a Ridiculous Plan by Tom Foreman

July: Fast Girl: A Life Spent Running from Madness by Suzy Favor Hamilton

August: Running with the Buffaloes: A Season Inside with Mark Wetmore, Adam Goucher, And The University of Colorado Men’s Cross Country Team by Chris Leer

Feel free to get your books now [from your local bookstore or online] and gather your friends together to come to Summer Runner Book Club.

With the official arrival of winter, and a few weeks of winter-like weather already, a frequent question we get from runners looking to train in the cold is “what should I wear?” The best answer is: it depends. We know, that’s not very helpful. But the truth is, every individual runner will manage their body […]
