A fresh, new start in a great new location. After 5 years on P Street, Pacers Running has moved a few blocks away to be amidst all the bustling activity on 14th Street.
Pacers 14th Street has already opened for business and we invite you to stop by to see our great space. We hope you will visit us for our official Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, July 25th. It will be a great chance to see the shop as we dress up and staff up to share our excitement for our new home.
Of course, many of you have already dropped in to say hi and scope out the new digs. But for the rest, maybe this post will serve as your first glimpse. Here is a sneak peek:
We are still working on putting up a nice, big sign out front. For now you will have to know to look for us between El Centro and City Paws. We can’t wait to get to know the many great neighboring businesses on our block!
A short way into the store, we have our shoes displayed on either side. After talking with our staff and choosing models to try, take a seat on a nearby bench to check the fit.
We have a great selection of footwear on hand from all the brands you have come to expect. And, shoe inserts and socks line the walls beneath the shelving.
Further in, we have a colorful palette of clothing. Our apparel includes the latest looks to keep you cool and comfortable this summer.
A large table spans the center of the space and we will use it to highlight some of our favorite things. Assistant Manager Landon Peacock’s artwork paired well with this set of tank tops. Look out for more of his paintings brightening up the store.
We definitely aim to stock a full spectrum of gear to suit the DC runner! But, our curated collections of apparel will only be presented for limited times as we seek to offer the best colors and styles available.
Lastly, some areas of the store will just have to remain to be seen in person. Not pictured is a private room we are outfitting to perform gait analyses featuring all the tools needed to find the right shoe for you including a treadmill and video monitoring. In the very front of the store, and also by the cash wrap, we have installed special murals to add plenty of character. And, we are filling out a community area where we will have lockers and special bulletin boards through which we can keep runners informed and connected.
We have built out our new 14th Street location to be a running haven and a social gathering space. It is truly for our community and we can’t wait to see you!
