This week there are a zillion great things to do around town. Here are some highlights in case you are looking for an extra serving of fun this week. As always our regular runs are in the mix, see what looks like a fit for you.

Meet up at the tasting room of Port City Brewery at 7pm for a group run that also happens to end at the tasting room. Get your miles in and sample the brews that will be at the finish line festival of the GW Parkway Classic.

Join Clarendon Pacers for a special whiskey and cupcake pairing tasting to celebrate March runners birthdays on Tuesday. Stay post run to sample fine Wigle Whiskies – learn how they are made, aged and bottled – while being paired with gourmet cupcakes. The event is free, but RSVP is strongly encouraged on the Facebook Pacers Clarendon Fun Run page.
Meet up at Pacers 14th Street at 6:30 for a group run before catching Boston: The Documentary about the Boston Marathon. The event is sold out so please come if you did purchase a ticket, we will have a variety of sandwiches from Taylor Gourmet and ice cream from Ice Cream Jubilee. Adidas will be in too with new shoes and gift with purchase. Proceeds from this super fun event benefit the non-profit Girls Gotta Run.
Track Relays at Pacers 14th Street with New Balance
New Balance shoes are fast, you are fast, and you better believe track relays will be fast and fun. Meet up at Pacers 14th Street and head over as a group to the track.

Once we hit April races are on the calendar with Crystal City 5k Fridays each week, The George Washington Parkway Classic on April 22 and the the New Jersey Marathon at the end of the month on April 29 in the Garden State. You are not going to miss out on these opportunities to run your way into spring. We are planning all sorts of cool things for race participants, take a look at the race pages for all of the information.
Book club is on and it is not even summer yet, we know, but we have author Leslie Heywood coming to Pacers Clarendon on Thursday April 5 to discuss her book Pretty Good for a Girl: An Athlete’s Story. We will have treats for all participants and if you are a part of the Wayfarer’s journey we have book club buttons for you to display on your Vooray backpack when you pick it up in May. The Marine Corps Marathon is on the minds of a lot of local runners these days. If you scored guaranteed access this weekend, or if your name is in the mix as part of the lottery, here’s hoping you will be out there crushing it in October.
