Trail Run at Burke Lake
Wow, thank you all for coming out to Burke Lake yesterday for a little early summer trail running. It was a solid showing and a beautiful day to grab some miles on a soft surface. It feels like summer, it looks like summer, and summer racing is right around the corner at Crystal City Twilighter on July 21. Early race packet pick up opens this Thursday, aka the Summer Solstice, at Pacers Clarendon. You can pick up your race bib, your race tank or race bucks, a bib for your friend, and any gear you will need for race day during regular business hours beginning this Thursday. This year there is even more fun planned for the Run Club Throwdown. Get your crew, email [email protected] for your team race discount, and start thinking of your team walk up song for the Parade of Nations. The Great North American Naughtical Beer Mile
If you have been considering running a beer mile this is the time to commit to your team and your training to run one with us on August 11 at Pacers Navy Yard. The Great American Naughtical Beer Mile is the premier race event of the summer season. Grab your team, you will need four runners, one for each leg of the relay or have a go at it yourself. Four laps, one beer before each lap, equals a mile that will forever leave a mark!
This week there are runs from all locations and around town. Here are some of the highlight for the week ahead.
Joggers and Largers is on tonight and every Monday night at Port City Brewery in Alexandria. Take your run on a Monday night adventure, you will be rewarded with both endorphins and a delicious post run brew. #joggersandlagers

Thursday is the Summer Solstice!
Celebrate the start of summer with EcoArlington and Pacers Running. We are teaming up on Thursday June 21, for a 1-3 mile plogging adventure at Bluemont Park. The word plogging is a combination of jogging and “plocka upp,” Swedish for pick up where this trend started. There will be a picnic immediately following so stay for food and mingle. A donation of $5 for the picnic per person paid on site is being requested and there will be vegetarian food options. More info can be found right here.
This Thursday is Saucony night at Pacers Clarendon. Product test the Ride ISO, Guide ISO and Kinvara 9 for the run. Want to try to win a chance of a free pair of Saucony shoes? Run through the streets of DC and VA testing the latest models while attending all of the Saucony Pacer Runs this summer. Runners must attend all four events to be eligible to win new kicks-

Last, but totally not least, there is a post run pop up Barre Class at Pacers Alexandria. Come for the run stay for the burn. The run begins at 7pm and Barre will happen right after at 8pm; all you need is a yoga mat. Additionally we are having our birthday Thursday event at the same time….so double the fun. #ForEveryRun
