Summer Runner Book Club


Thank you to everyone that joined Summer Runner Book Club last night at Pacers Navy Yard. A huge thank you to Suzy Favor Hamilton; you are incredibly brave and inspiring. It was a joy to listen to you share insights from your life and book, Fast Girl, A Life Running from Madness. Thank you to J&A Racing for the race entries that were raffled off at the world’s longest raffle. Also a big thank to East City Bookshop for being onsite selling books. Our next meeting is on August is on Sunday August 13 with Chris Lear to discuss his book Running with the Buffaloes. If you are not yet registered seats are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.



2015 Crystal City Twilighter 5K

It is not too late to register for the race of the summer Crystal City Twlighter this Saturday night at 8:30pm. The weather report looks steamy so hydrate, rest up, and head out for a perfect summertime 5K in July. Packet pick-up will be a Pacers Clarendon on Friday from 10am-8pm and on Saturday from 10am-3pm. Packet pick-up will also be onsite in Crystal City from 5pm-8:30pm. This is summertime racing at its best- see you out there.

Come by for a run, stay for a cold one and with heat like this it sounds like a perfect plan!

-Cross Train with Amos 7pm Pacers Alexandria

This workout plan is challenging but more importantly fun and inclusive. Amos will lead you in an easy 4-mile group run with stops every 1/2 mile to do bodyweight resistance style exercises. Amos’ goal is to make this workout light-hearted yet challenging so plan to join him for some Monday night miles.

-Sport and Spine Rehab workout 7pm Pacers Fairfax



-HOKA fun run 6:30pm Pacers Navy Yard



-Pacers Oasis is back and just in time. This Saturday morning between 7am-10am we will be set up near the Key Bridge by the Mt. Vernon and Custis trails with nutrition, hydration, and a shady place to take a break. See below for details on additional upcoming Oasis plans.

It is hot and the miles are getting long- enter the Pacers Oasis. Make a note, tell your friends, but do make sure your Saturday route includes a pit stop at The Oasis. Find refreshment at the intersection of the Mt. Vernon and Custis trails near the Key Bridge.
