Packet Pickup and Registration will be available on site the morning of the race but will close 15 minutes prior to your race time. That means if you are participating in the 5k at 8am, packet pickup and registration will close at 7:45. Likewise, if you are participating in the 10k at 9am, packet pickup and registration will close at 8:45.
To ensure you are able to register and collect your race bag prior to the event, we strongly recommend you attend the packet pickup on Saturday, the day before the race, at Pacers Clarendon. See Pre Race info for more details.

If you have gear you want to set aside prior to the race, we’re on it!
Use the clear bag check bag that was provided to you at packet pickup to stow your stuff.
We will have a sectioned-off, attended area in front of Union Bank near the Start Line.
Though we will have attendants monitoring the area, Pacers Running will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Please bring no valuables.
The Bag Check area will shut down at 10:30 am. Any uncollected items will be taken to Pacers Clarendon. After one week all items will be donated.
The Start Line of the event is near Whitlow’s on Wilson in Clarendon by the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and North Fillmore Street.
Driving may offer some challenges as Wilson Boulevard will be closed to traffic. Please refer to the map to find the best way to bypass Wilson Boulevard from the direction you are coming from.
For help considering to arrive car-free, check out this video:
Wilson Boulevard will be shut off to vehicles but limited off street parking may be available on Clarendon Boulevard and side streets.
Other parking is available in local garages.
Generally, we recommend arriving by public transportation to avoid any issue with finding a place for your vehicle.
Metro is a great way to get to the event. Please note, however, that Metro opens at 7am on Saturdays– depending on where you are coming from, this may not be conducive to arriving on time (especially for the 5k which starts at 8am).
The Start Line is close to Whitlow’s on Wilson by the corner of Wilson Blvd and North Fillmore Street– three blocks northeast of the Clarendon Metro stop on the Orange and Silver Line.
New for 2016: Due to changes in METRO paper card policy, we no longer are able to provide metro cards from the finish to the start. Please bring your own card or plan to walk back to the start (stopping at Ireland’s Four Courts of course on the way!)
The closest METRO to the start is Clarendon and the closest METRO to the finish is Rosslyn.
Metrobus and ART Routes also serve the area. Please review the schedules:
Check out this video for details on arriving with public transportation:
The Start Line of the event is near Whitlow’s on Wilson in Clarendon by the intersection of Wilson Blvd and North Fillmore Street.
Cycling is a great way to get there, though if you are arriving from DC or other points east of Clarendon, you will likely need to tackle a hilly route.
Clarendon and Wilson Boulevards both have bike lanes throughout the Clarendon area. Bike lanes on Fairfax Drive and Kirkwood Road link Clarendon to Ballston and the Custis Trail. Highland Street provides a good connection to the Arlington Boulevard Trail.
Bike parking is available at the Clarendon Metro Station, in the parking garage at the Market Common Clarendon and at on-street locations throughout Clarendon.
Clarendon has several Capital Bikeshare stations, allowing anyone to pick up a bike for point to point travel at any time. The Clarendon stations make it easy to bike from other Capital Bikeshare stations throughout Arlington County, DC and Alexandria.
We encourage you to bring family and/or friends to cheer you on as you take on the Clarendon Day Run course! Handmade signs, noisemakers, and the like should be the least they can do for you.
We suggest supporters look out for you at the start or at Ireland’s Four Courts and then make their way down to Rosslyn to cheer you on at the finish.
Upon completing the event, you can go as a group back up the hill (Metro is a great option) to enjoy the Clarendon Day Street Festival together. It is a great event for families!
