In 2009, Pacers Running partnered with Arlington County and the Clarendon Alliance to organize the Clarendon Day Run making it the official race of the Festival. After hosting over 2300 participants its first year, the race has gained a devoted crowd of runners with increased participation each year thereafter.
While the fast and fun course has remained the same since the beginning, in 2013 the choice to run the “Double” was added and it quickly became a popular option.
The Saturday Clarendon Day Street Festival has occurred for 30 years and has grown to attract well over 30,000 visitors annually to the neighborhood. Food, music, art, and displays from local businesses add fun and character to the community celebration. The Pacers Clarendon Day Run joins the Saturday Festival again in 2018!
