Starting and finishing in front of 2121 Crystal Drive at the Crystal City Courtyard Green, the 5K Fridays race route is flat and fast and travels through the heart of Crystal City.
It heads along Crystal Drive and up past Long Bridge Park, the County’s newest regional park. Also along the way, runners will pass The Boeing Company’s Long Bridge Facility.
After the race, runners can stick around for a collection of area bar and restaurant specials exclusively for runners.

Start and Finish Line Details
The Start and Finish Line is located on the driveway encircling the Crystal City Courtyard Green in front of 2121 Crystal City Drive. Nearby, there will be a self serve Bag Check area where attendants will monitor your items if you leave them using the official race bag provided at Packet Pickup. At the Start Line of this race, some pre-race water will be available for filling water bottles. Restrooms will be available for last minute rest stops inside the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive.
After completing the race, restrooms will be available for convenience across the street. We encourage participants to check for race updates on this site immediately after the event to view final times.
On Course Support
Certain things you can’t do without. We have made sure to provide all of the necessities.
Water will be available at the Start and Finish Lines as well as on the course. A water stop will be located in front of Long Bridge Park along Lone Bridge Drive just prior to the turnaround.
A convoy including police officers and a Race Crew member travel by motorbike to lead the race while another Race Crew member trails all competitors on bicycle to monitor for any irregular situations that may arise and require attention.
Medics patrol the course and are stationed at the finish to care for injuries or anything that requires medical attention.
And, restrooms are available at the start and finish inside the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive.

Lisa, our Race Director, makes no bones about it– making sure the race course is completely safe is our top priority. We have thought through all the details including providing cones, barriers, signage, and directionals so that the course is well marked and placing crew and volunteers so there’s help if you need it. We work closely with municipalities to ensure we have police and medical support always on hand. Our high standards ensure you can let loose and enjoy your run.
