Race Day Details: Where to Go, What to Do
Directions & Transportation
The race is located next to Pacers Fairfax (10427 North Street Fairfax, VA 22030). Pacers Fairfax is located at the corner of University and North in the heart of Old Town Fairfax.
The closest Metro is Vienna/Fairfax (3.5 miles from store); location is also served by bus. For schedules, visit WMATA.
Old Town Fairfax has ample free parking for race participants and spectators. Parking area map is available here.
Old Town Fairfax is home to numerous restaurants and pubs. And bonus! They don’t care if you are sweaty!
Bag Check will be located outside Old Town Hall from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Any items left after 8:00pm will be transported to Pacers Fairfax for pick up on or after January 2nd. Items left after one week may be discarded or donated.
There will be portable restrooms available behind Pacers Fairfax (adjacent to start line).
There will be one water stop located approximately half way on the course.
Strollers & Pets
This is a kid and pet friendly event! However, runners with strollers or pets on a leash are asked to start at the back.
This event starts after dark. While we do place light towers at strategic points in the course, there still will be areas where it may be darker than others. Please be sure to be cognizant of your surroundings including your fellow runners.
Pacers Running runs our events rain, snow, or shine. We adhere to strict internal procedures related to course safety and work closely with our municipality partners and medical providers. If at any time we believe the course is or will be unsafe we reserve the right to modify, delay, or cancel the event. However, we do our best to communicate any changes or updates to our participants in real time via Twitter and our website. Please note that in our almost decade of producing events we have only canceled one event and modified two courses due to weather (this one included when in 2008 a downed power line of all things forced a double loop reroute!)
