New Packet Pick Up Procedure
New Packet Pick Up: No Race Day Pick Up but We Offer a Month Long Pick Up Starting February 4!
This flat and fast course will take runners through the streets of downtown Washington, DC, taking in gorgeous views of famous Monuments and the Potomac River. The Start and Finish lines are located on 15th Street NW, directly next to the Washington Monument- in the heart of the city!
Highlights include a jaunt onto the Rock Creek Parkway to pass the Kennedy Center and sightings of the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and Tidal Basin before hitting the home stretch.

The Start Line and Finish Line is located on 15th Street, NW directly next to the Washington Monument. On the grounds close to Constitution Avenue, NW we will have a number of amenities.
There will be a Bag Check area where attendants will monitor your items if you leave them using the official race bag provided at Packet Pickup.
Port-a-potties for last minute rest stops will be available.
Prior to the race, water will be available for filling water bottles and we will also offer hot refreshments. Post race refreshments will also be provided.
Before or after the race, be sure to visit the photo booth located near the Start/Finish Line!
Our race announcer tent will also be located near the Start/Finish Line. All those participating in the costume contest should check in there after the race. We encourage all others to hang out to see the official awards ceremony and costume contest by the announcer tent at roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes after the race start.
Certain things you can’t do without. We have made sure to provide all of the necessities.
Water will be available at the Start/Finish Line area as well as at a water stations on course. There will be one water station for the 5k race and two water stations for the 10k race.
USPP officers and the Race Director travel by police car to lead the race while more officers and another Race Crew member trail all competitors to monitor for any irregular situations that may arise and require attention.
There will be a Medical tent at the Start/Finish Line area and there will be Medics available on course to care for injuries or anything that requires medical attention.
Lastly, we have will port-a-potties at the Start/Finish Line area and near the water stations.
Lisa, our Race Director, makes no bones about it– making sure the race course is completely safe is our top priority. We have thought through all the details including providing cones, barriers, signage, and directionals so that the course is well marked and placing crew and volunteers so there’s help if you need it. We work closely with municipalities to ensure we have police and medical support always on hand. Our high standards ensure you can let loose and enjoy your run.
