Pacers Running Summer Training
There are many ways to get to the start line and we’ve got free options involving your favorite local neighborhood running store. Group runs are lead by knowledge team leaders and filled with local runners. Train with us and maybe even find your new best running friends in the process!
Training for a fall distance event can be tough but running with friends makes it work. Pacers Running is for every run: all paces, experience, and ability levels. Don’t let the distance intimidate you; we break down training into manageable segments building you up to crush your race day goals. And yes! Anyone can join!
Special MCM training program: If you are training for Marine Corps Marathon or another upcoming marathon Joe Shultz, manager of Pacers Alexandria and one of our Saturday long run group leaders, offers this 18 week plan to help get to the start line prepared to meet your goal. The schedule includes speedwork, long runs, hills- all of the elements you need to build your endurance for race day.

Free Training from MedStar
Our partners from MedStar are offering free runner education sessions with running physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers. These sessions are focused on MCM training but are open to any runner, regardless of distance or event.
